Season 1 of Day Break. The season opens with: Det. Brett Hopper of the LAPD is framed for the murder of a prosecutor, then discovers his girlfriend and sister are in danger as well. He can't trust his partner, who's being probed by Internal Affairs, and his ex-partner, his girlfriend's ex-husband, may be involved in the frame-up, which may be tied to a gang he was tracking.
