S6E17 · The Kiss Hello

Kramer tries to create a Utopian society when he puts up pictures of all the residents of his and Jerry's building. Jerry doesn't mind until the women of the building want to be greeted with a kiss. After Jerry objects to kissing hello, he's vilified and nearly kicked out of the building. Meanwhile, Elaine's friend who is a chiropractor skips out on George's appointment and goes skiing instead, and they have a hard time telling her about her dated hairdo.

Plot summary

George, needing advice from Elaine's physical therapist friend Wendy, is forced to pay for a consultation as a courtesy, but gets bilked when Wendy enforces a one-sided cancellation policy against him. Jerry wants to quit getting greeted with kisses hello, but Kramer adds to his social burden by posting every building tenant's names and photos to encourage greetings. Elaine, unable to criticize Wendy's old-fashioned hairdo to her face, sets up Kramer hoping he will do so in her stead. Jerry's nana remembers Uncle Leo's decades-old debt to Jerry's mother, motivating Leo to scheme to silence her.
