He is stopped by one of Bianca's friends, who states that she only pursued him because she was dying. Frank later tries to pursue another woman, Hilary (Cathryn de Prume), who is also dying from late stage cancer. He introduces her to crack, but is alarmed when she dies, forcing him to flee. To complicate matters, a drug test is needed for Fiona, even though she has not used drugs. Fiona is shocked when the drug test reveals she is pregnant; she is unsure of who is the father. Upon arriving home, Fiona gets into a fight with Debbie, who plans to leave for Florida, only to be stopped by Lip. Macy) runs into her, and he makes it clear he supports her decision to keep the baby.
Kevin (Steve Howey) and Veronica (Shanola Hampton) visit Yanis (Will Sasso) in the hospital, and are shocked to learn that he is paralyzed from the waist down. Yanis swears revenge against the person who sabotaged his motorcycle, believing it to be his lesbian neighbors. Fiona confides in Veronica her pregnancy, and while she is unsure who the father is, she does not care as she will abort. Lip (Jeremy Allen White) convinces Youens (Alan Rosenberg) in giving a janitor job to Ian (Cameron Monaghan). While Ian often hangs out and drinks with Lip, he is displeased with the fact that Lip is faring better than him. Carl (Ethan Cutkosky) continues selling guns in the school, and even the teachers and principal ask him for guns. He becomes interested in a girl, Dominique, but she constantly rejects him for his lifestyle.
When Debbie calls her out, Fiona decides to visit Gus (Steve Kazee) to apologize for her actions. Gus accepts her and invites her to listen to her new performance at a bar. However, the song is titled "The F Word" and involves Gus insulting Fiona for cheating on him, and she leaves humiliated with Sean (Dermot Mulroney). Per Debbie's request, Frank gets most of the family to stage an intervention for Fiona and convince her not to abort, but she does not listen. Debbie then suggests a truce; she will support Fiona's decision to abort, if she supports Debbie's decision to keep the baby. Fiona makes it clear that if she chooses to keep the baby, Fiona will not help her in anything as Debbie will not live in the house then. When Sean arrives, she reveals her pregnancy.
Lip tries to help Ian in cleaning a post-party hallway, but Ian turns aggressive and they engage into a fight, culminating with Ian quitting his job. That night, Fiona is dismayed when she returns home and discovers an eviction notice. Lip (Jeremy Allen White) accompanies Helene (Sasha Alexander) to an academic conference in Indianapolis, where she will promote her new book based on her research. However, at the conference, a man notes that new discoveries in the past weeks have basically dismissed the entire book, devastating Helene. She gets drunk and tries to get Lip to have sex with her in public, which he declines. After she vomits in the bathroom, Helene laments the situation, and suggests Lip will find the right woman for his age. The following morning, as they leave, Helene asks Lip to forget their conversation and the conference.
With Patrick unwilling to help the family, Fiona and Sean meet with a friend to consult on their financial situation. Fiona is surprised when she is told that she is eligible for a $100,000 loan as she never had a credit card, but she must pay $3,500 for the down payment. As Fiona tries to get money from her family, Carl (Ethan Cutkosky) offers to pay the entire payment with his firearms money, which Fiona refuses. Kevin catches Yanis (Will Sasso) trying to light a house on fire, believing the owner to have caused his accident. Kevin finally reveals he is responsible; Yanis tries to light him on fire, but ends up setting himself on fire by accident. After pawning Gus' grandmother ring to get the loan, Fiona and her siblings attend the bidding. Fiona and her family are left devastated, realizing they are now homeless.

Debbie (Emma Kenney) continues working in taking care of Erika (Ever Carradine) and her family, although she is disappointed that Tyler (Michael McMillian) does not pay her attention. Lip (Jeremy Allen White) is horrified to learn that the explicit photo has now reached Gawker, and the provost wants him to give a statement to the disciplinary committee. He tries to get Amanda (Nichole Sakura) to recant her statement but she refuses; she also reveals she is leaving campus as a feminist group is harassing her for ruining Helene's career. Fiona (Emmy Rossum) breaks into the house to retrieve a closet door, when she runs into an inspector and the owner. The inspector notes that due to the extremely poor living conditions of the house, the costs exceed its value, and the owner decides to pull out of bidding. Fiona then consults with the bank, and is allowed to pay her bid. However, as she is married, she needs Gus' signature to rescind his ownership of the house.
Ian (Cameron Monaghan) goes on his date with Caleb (Jeff Pierre), although Ian is worried about his behavior. Their date is interrupted when Caleb is called for a fire incident, after a woman stabbed a man. As Caleb and the firefighters help the man, Ian checks the woman's arm and bandages it, surprising Caleb. Lip testifies at the committee, dismissing any damage. When Helene (Sasha Alexander) testifies, she says the relationship is over, and the committee also points out Lip is not the first student she had sex with. After the meeting is over, Lip tries to talk to her, but she tells him to never contact her. Kevin (Steve Howey) manages to get the previous customers of the Alibi back, as well as charging $20 to any hipster just to enter.

A defeated Fiona returns with Sean, tearfully lamenting the situation she put her family in; Carl watches from another room. Meanwhile, Frank returns to the house and discovers Chuckie (Kellen Michael) sleeping in a tent; Chuckie tells him that Sammi has called someone to take care of him. The following morning, Frank is surprised to learn that the person was Sammi's mother, Queenie (Sherilyn Fenn). As they reunite, they start making out. Macy) has taken another room to have sex with Queenie (Sherilyn Fenn). Fiona (Emmy Rossum) is still sleeping with Sean (Dermot Mulroney) at his house, but is unwilling to be kicked out of her own house.
Lip (Jeremy Allen White) loses his position as resident assistant. He believes it is due to his relationship with Helene, but is actually because of the wall that Amanda painted in his room. Furthermore, as this is considered an act of vandalism, he is also kicked out of the dorm room. Seeing his situation, a secretary, Victoria (Giorgia Whigham), gets him a job as a houseboy at a female sorority house, where he is given a room to sleep. Debbie surprises Erika by trying to kiss her and almost performs a sexual act, but is interrupted when Frank sends a message confirming they can go back to the house. Frank and Queenie attend Chuckie's school after Chuckie writes a book report on Mein Kampf; instead of apologizing and disciplining, Frank criticizes the school for trying to censor his freedom of speech. When they turn it down, Carl leaves it next to a memorial.
A drunk Lip visits Helene's house, but no one answers. He goes on a tirade demanding that she speak with him, and throws away his bottle into the house when he receives no reply. However, Debbie is disgusted when she finds him at a yoga class with another pregnant woman, realizing that he is only interested in her because of his pregnancy fetishism.
Carl asks Frank (William H. Macy) for help in the shipment, so Frank decides to do the job for him. He pays a man, Gareth (Rick Fox), to serve as a menacing henchman to get payments from other partners. Frank then meets with Lamar, who is upset that Carl did not perform his duties. Lamar then orders Frank to transport a bag of cocaine to Indiana, threatening to castrate him if he fails. Frank meets with Gareth to accompany him, but they end up using some of the cocaine instead, replacing it with powdered laxative. Ian (Cameron Monaghan) goes out with Caleb (Jeff Pierre) and his friends. Ian and Caleb then share their respective secrets; Ian reveals his bipolar disorder, while Caleb reveals he is HIV-positive. Nevertheless, they agree to have safe sex.

Fiona discovers about Carl's injury, and he opens up that the kid's murder prompted him to abandon his drug dealing lifestyle. To help him, Sean accompanies Carl in meeting G-Dog (Stephen Rider) and negotiate ending his partnership. G-Dog agrees, but Sean and Carl are forced to give up their clothes and car. When they reach Sean's apartment, Sean is shocked when he finds Will playing with Carl's gun. Sean angrily scolds Fiona, as he could lose his visitation rights. Fiona gets rid of all of Carl's guns. Carl (Ethan Cutkosky) and Dominique (Jaylen Barron) start a relationship, although her father Luther (Peter Macon) disapproves of Carl. He decides to take Carl on a ride-along, which Carl actually enjoys. As Luther goes after a criminal, Carl notices another one fleeing and tackles him.

As they arrive at the Gallagher household, Frank is kidnapped by G-Dog's henchmen and taken away. He is brought to a warehouse, where they plan to torture him. Frank saves himself by claiming he can get them opium. He gets them to the commune, where they get into a shootout with Jupiter, and Frank seizes the opportunity to flee. Lip is sent to jail, where he faces charges for assaulting a police officer. He is later bailed out by Youens (Alan Rosenberg), who warns him he is expelled from campus. Youens instructs Lip to go to rehabilitation, as his alcoholism is worsening. Lip agrees, but postpones until the following day to attend the wedding. He goes to the Alibi, where Kevin (Steve Howey) and the patrons are shocked by his expulsion, with Kevin noting he is reminding him of Frank.
